While Annie was born in the rural state of Wyoming, she then spent a big part of her life in an upbeat Chicago… She is sure that that was because of her Wyoming upbringing that she has such a deep love for the great outdoors, and her compassion and love for all living things.
For Annie, the family is always a center point in everything she does in life.
Because of that and of her natural cheerfulness, Annie has an easy time connecting with a multitude of different people, including at her classes.
Returning back to her biography, it was right after her graduation when she decided to move to LA, seeking for something new…
When in LA, Annie’s lively character pushed he interest towards exploring a multitude of fitness realms. It was then when a good friend brought Annie to her very first yoga class and she was instantly hooked.
She immediately understood how balanced the practice of yoga is, seeing it as an opportunity to keep body fitness, mind, and soul intact.
After completing her 200-hour yoga certification in 2010, Annie began teaching first private yoga sessions to her students and practiced at several studios in the LA area. She admits, however, that it took finding Modo to feel she truly found her yoga home.
Annie attended the Modo Los Angeles Teacher Training in February 2014 and tells of that experience as being one of the most rewarding and joyful in her life. While a bit challenging and confronting as it was, she is absolutely positive that Modo yoga was one of the best directions in life that she has ever chosen…
Annie believes in maintaining a strict a sense of balance in all aspects of her life. She knows how easy it is to get carried away with life’s ups and downs, highs and lows… That is why, as a Yoga class teacher she aims to inspire her students to find become more centered.
